Heritage Villa
A refined transformation of a late-19th-century heritage villa, blending architectural charm with bespoke craftsmanship fully tailored to the character and personality of the homeowners.
This project was a truly rewarding and collaborative journey with the clients. Previously, the kitchen was tucked away in a small rear extension. Together with the architect and the homeowners, we reimagined the entire ground floor and expanded the villa across its full width, creating openness, flow and a sense of effortless living. The clients are now delighted to be able to move freely through their home. During gatherings, guests naturally gather around the generous kitchen island or by the central fireplace, while the dining area has become an integral part of daily life.
The new kitchen forms the heart of the home. A striking Tempest Blue quartzite worktop adds depth and natural luxury, while the cabinetry is finished with refined, bespoke moulding and subtle brass detailing, creating an elegant and timeless palette that ties the entire space together.
Large Art Deco inspired wooden doors now connect the hallway to the main living spaces, allowing the family to close off the sitting room when needed, giving everyone the flexibility, comfort and privacy that suits modern family living.
A new rear entrance with a fully equipped utility room and a personalised cloakroom, with individual storage for each family member, completes the transformation, making the home not only beautiful but truly functional.
Working closely with the clients throughout the process was an absolute pleasure. Their openness, trust and enthusiasm played a key role in shaping a home that honours its heritage while equally reflecting their personality and way of living.
The result is a harmonious balance between historic charm, individuality and a sophisticated, timeless aesthetic.
